As predicted, Raiders fans should have vomited after that defeat tonight. I was, once again, close on the score, only five short on the Broncos amount. And, as predicted, I almost vomited from seeing Cee Lo Green’s horrendous intro song.
The game was put away early; the score does not represent how close the game truly was. The Raiders offense could not get anything going all night; they struggled more than Lou Holtz does when attempting to pronounce the word “stupendous”. This was due in part to the secondary of Champ Bailey and the pressure of Von Miller. Miller now has 16 sacks on the season, along with several forced fumbles. Knowshon Moreno had, well, the best game of his career- rushing for 119 yards and a TD. As for Peyton, he just solidified why he should win the MVP award. The Broncos aren’t slowing down now that they have division in check, they are going for the first-round bye in the playoffs.
I realize that many of you take offense to the amount of Charger-bashing that takes place here at The Penthouse, so here is a change in pace:
Charger fans, great news!!! The Spanos family broke the news that Norv Turner and A.J. Smith will be fired at the end of the season, the best news San Diego fans have heard all year. It may not stop the bleeding on their current losing streak, but at least there is a glimmer of hope for the future. About freaking time. So, Charger fans, I’m happy for you all! This is a no-bashing zone… at least until next week after they lose to the Steelers. Enjoy it while you can.
